Crossing the River Rhine we re-enter France (right)....

....and travel along the autoroute A26 to Calais, passing numerous villages and small towns on the way.

We cross the Canal du Nord (left)........

.....and enter the coal mining district around Lens.

The Port of Calais is not far away and it is here we board our P and O ferry to Dover where we arrive several hours later (below).
